0.7 - Decorations


After many months of work, decorations are finally in the game!

Keep in mind, this is only the beginning - a taste test to see what aspects of decorations players like & dislike so we can hone in on the feedback moving forward. Things like animated & responsive decorations are somewhere on the horizon.

Also note that the decorations currently featured in the demo campaign are all experimental, & mostly auto-generated with different settings to see how you guys like the aesthetic of each different zone. Feel free to give feedback on which styles you think work, & which you think don't.

The level editor also has been overhauled, however this ain't "0.7 the Level Editor update", so the editor still has a lot to improve on. Notable changes include an interface for placing decorations & setting object layer order. As we move forward & think about how we want in-level text to be handled within Murus, text has also been temporarily removed from the public level editor :(

Everything in the game has now been modified to accommodate for pixel perfect tiles & therefore all the campaign levels have been slightly modified. Enjoy the new experience! All completed maps will remained completed, however times are reset. This does mean some legacy custom levels may need some changing if they are to still work going forward with the new pixel perfect sizing.

This snapshot certainly isn't perfect, but we really wanted to get all the new stuff into your hands before the new year. We'll be working each day to patch up any loose holes & act upon your feedback. The next major patch will be an overhaul of the game menus & in-game UI.
